The ASL club’s purpose would be to teach its members a few useful signs for conversing with deaf individuals. We would like to teach grammar, and 10 or more useful signs each meeting (Hello, my name is, goodbye, how are you, etc.) and then teach ten more the next meeting, but also leave empty space built in to make sure that the members retained the signs from the last meeting. The goal at the end of the year would be for each member to be able to hold a conversation in American Sign Language, and that they will be able to remember those signs for life.
