Dwight Englewood’s Transgender/Non-Binary Affinity Group works to create a safe space for all members of our community who are questioning their gender identity or do not fall under Cisgender. Our meetings consist mostly of conversations in a safe environment where you can discuss your identity without fear of judgment. We also don’t keep a written attendance of who has attended in order to assure the safety of any of our members who may not yet be out. Providing a comfortable environment that facilitates our Transgender and Non-Binary peers to be themselves and potentially come to a deeper understanding of their identity is our top priority!

*Affinity Groups in the Upper School are student-initiated spaces where members who identify with a social and/or cultural identifier gather to affirm their identity. These spaces of reflection, celebration, and support inspire confidence and development, which help enhance members’ experience in and contributions to the broader Dwight-Englewood community.
