Service-Learning

Our Vision for the Program: “The D-E service-learning program aspires to cultivate compassionate students to learn about themselves and each other in partnership with the local and global community to make a better world.

Dwight-Englewood firmly believes that learning experiences can be just as strong and impactful outside the classroom and beyond the confines of our campus. In addition to the tremendous benefit to others, service work offers us the opportunity for personal growth. It provides students with practical, professional experience while also fostering an understanding of our school’s core values of courage, commitment, judgment, honesty, community and respect.

All students are required to complete 40 hours of community service before graduation. Click here or below button for the guidelines students should keep in mind before beginning their work.

For more on service-learning opportunities and requirements please contact Ms. Debbie Rivera Murphy, Dean of Student Life, at murphd@d-e.org.
