Teachers have wasted no time this fall in bringing students up to the garden to take advantage of the late-summer ecosystem. From sixth graders practicing their observational skills for science and understanding ancient grains for history, to dig students serving pollinators and upper school neuroscience students. Exploring the senses, students are taking advantage of experiential opportunities to learn hands (and no Is) on.

Teachers interested in bringing classes to the garden or parents interested in volunteering to help maintain the space should contact Tasha Urbanowski at urbant@d-e.org and/or Len Glozman, the upper school garden club president (glozml@d-e.org).
